A question that comes up this time of year with now on the horizon: how will we know if church is canceled due to snow?
We do cancel in-person church very occasionally due to snowstorms, and we usually wait until Saturday afternoon/evening to make that call. If there is a cancellation, it will be announced in the following ways:
*WMUR (they post closures online and on TV)
*the church Facebook page
*the church website
*the church voicemail
With the wonders of modern technology, we will still try and hold a Zoom service of Morning Prayer at 10AM for those who would still like to gather, and the usual digital Facebook Morning Prayer will also be available.
With the start of 2024, both Tuesday and Thursday Bible studies on Zoom are diving into a new study.
Tuesday morning at 9AM we will be looking at Understanding Lent & Holy Week
Thursday evening at 7PM we begin with Evening Prayer and then begin studying St. Paul’s letters. St. Paul’s letters can seem wordy and strict out of context, but did you know:
*reading St. Paul’s letters is a little bit like a mystery? We don’t have the messages he was responding to and sometimes the books in the Bible seem to be made up of 2 or 3 letters from Paul spliced together
*the letters were meant to be read outloud with everyone present at a house church? *that St. Paul sometimes riffs off of what must have been early church music?
